Edit box with transparent background

Hello,

I would need to have an edit box (Used for Login/Password), with custom borders and background, possible or not? (Seems not ...).
When i check "transparent" in edit options ...well, it's not transparent ...

just turn off borders and 3d look to make it a plain box then create your own borders. you can change the background colour within the properties of the edit box.

if you want to make it transparent make it multiline.

Like you said, i made my own border using background object and changed background color of edit box, meaning i had to drop my idea of using an image as background/

As for multiline to have transparency, it doesn't work at all, well, it is, but is seems VERY buggy.

Maybe use a system back ground box and have it echo an off screen edit box?

You could maybe try the Rich Edit object instead - I'm not sure if transparency on that works though
