    Re: "Lag" with Joypad Object

    Man this is weird.

    I did a bunch of testing last night and this is exactly what's going on:

    It sounds strange, but the lag is due to playing large .ogg files WHILE using the Joypad Object.

    More specifically; If I leave the Joypad Object in the game, but take out the .ogg music, or vice-versa, the lag is gone.

    (Atleast without the joypad extension I can play .ogg files even bigger than 7mb and there's no lag at all!)

    So I guess this means the Joypad Object is at fault.. and that's a shame. I finally get a control config going and I get handfuls of lag in return. ><;;

    Is there any extension that can easily replace the Joypad Object? Perhaps a new version of the Joypad Object that has fixed this? I'd still like to use the control config I posted a link to earlier; it's so useful and is already in a few of my games.

    Thanks Looki, the Joystick 2 object looks much more powerful. Unfortunately, it still causes the lag when playing a large music file :T
