tips on how to do nonresetting collectables

I'm prepping up some game engines and one of my games was going to be a non linear platforming game, but something has been bugging me. I wanted the coins in the game to not resurrect when you leave the frame and return. Right now, it seems the easiest way to do this is just put the whole game on one frame, but that seems a bit excessive.

I'm asking this here because I realize that MMF has extensions that help with this, but since I'm making it for flash, I thought I'd ask here and see if there are good alternatives to do this with the ones available for flash

Just make the coins global and have a value you change to make them invisible instead of destroying them. The, do Start of Frame & Coin value is on: Make invisible/non-collectable.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
