I wonder if there are any limitation on MMF2's structure to open SVG vector graphics (so it could work with swf runtime), or if this is something that would be possible only with MMF3.

A guy called Sphax already worked on this, he made VectoralShape but it is very limited but fully functional, I recommend you PM Sphax about his work on VectoralShape.

I sent a PM once before about that object, apparently it has stopped development but clickteam might continue it. That object watermarks a demo/beta text over everything as it was going to be commercial also if i remember making it not really usable now although it was very good.
There is another object for basic vector shapes which is free and works great but it does not support svg loading/saving. In terms of if it's possible i think it should be yes.
Yes, I'm aware of Sphax Vectorial object and the other, but as I don't see progress in any way we can import a vector image inside MMF2, and since Flash runtime I thought it would be time to ask if we're going to see an effective way to import vector graphics into MMF2/flash exports.

I don't think we will see an import of vectors. I believe it is a limitation of flash itself.

What do you mean? Flash/Flex is all about vector images.Originally Posted by nivram

Not sure then, i guess only clickteam can say for sure. I would like vector support in MMF also it would be great to have, since it is a big part of flash and the new plugin is now released it makes sense to have support for it also. So vector format support gets my vote also but i hope it will be available in the normal MMF versions also.Originally Posted by Bruto_Memo
Flash has had vector support for ages, maybe even from the start and probably the same with flex. Flash/flex/action script can do lots of stuff like 3d, image editing and advanced game physics etc. If anything is limited it's the plugin in that it doesn't allow you to use everything from flash/flex due to the way it's built around MMF and what it currently supports. The big advantage with MMF flash is it would be simpler and faster to use but if your just making flash things it is not as powerful as far as i know.Originally Posted by nivram
