    Re: Fast Loops

I didn't actually notice any slowdown by the way. Seems to run well for me smile It's hard to have lots of enemies on screen without needing to kill them, but I let ~5 run on and there was no issue
    What are your system stats?

My computer is fairly new so that probably helps:

    i7 920 @ 2.67 Ghz
    GTX 275 (768 MB)
    6GB Ram

    Re: Fast Loops

While we're on the topic of fast loops, if I nest my fast loops in groups, will this fix any slow downs? Or will the slow downs in flash happen anyway, no matter if fast loops are nested correctly or not?

    Re: Fast Loops

If the speed of MMF's native fastloops could be increased merely with an extension...

Then they would have just done that :P

Flash action script IS slower then c++.

    Re: Fast Loops

So I take it no matter HOW you set up the fast loops in your app, flash will always run slower?

I think that's a shame. I'd think there would be a way around this, but I guess not.

    Re: Fast Loops

Unfortunatelly I have to agree with knpmaster Fast Loops in Flash Runtime are causing huuuuuge slow down especially when the whole project is based on them.

I tried to compile Sensou under Flash and it's ehm disaster - totally unplayable.

    Re: Fast Loops

I didn't notice any significant slow down either. I'm not running one of the fastest processors in the world like some people are...(netninja)

-I have noticed other MMF2 Flash games with a lot more slow down than this.

    Re: Fast Loops
