I wonder if something is broken. Starting for a fresh app I can't display a simple alert message (like in your example). I remember that it worked earlier. Maybe we are missing something?

So, we managed to get the thing working, once we got it up on an actual web server. It was mentioned that the Flash object must hard code "http://" to the beginning of the javascript call. Maybe it would be better if this was not automatic? Would it be possible to make it something you can test locally?

Sorry to bump, but we still need to know if it might be possible to change this "hard coded" path so we can do testing locally.

You need to run it on an actual server. It's best to test most things Flash runtime related on real servers of some kind instead of just locally on your computer as there are security measure in place to keep certain things from happening locally.
