Re: Static platforms that move on paths

    i would possibly try...
making a "fake path" to look like a cut out line as above.
then make the platform a ball...
set it to only move once you have jumped on to it.
and set it to set of in the direction you want...

then using HIDDEN blocks like bumpers... tell the platform to change to a direction when it hits it.

so as mario above is going to the TOP of the line you can see... a hidden block (hiddenblk1R) will tell the platform to go right.
then as it reaches then end of the line another hidden block (hiddenblk2D) would tell it to start going down.

    get me?

THis would only require you to make 3-4 blocks up down right and possibly a left if you need it.
then just make duplicates. for each of the parts of the path.

Thanks for the reply, i was going to do it that way but just wondered if there was a different way so i wouldn't have to set up thoughs blocks in every frame i was using it in, just to shave off abit of time really

Just use the pasth movement or the advanced path movement extension.

Why can't the contours of the object follow the path?

I reaaallly think you should check out the Advanced Path Movement extension. It's exactly what you need and want.
