Direct Show not working

I've created a video in Windows Media Video (WMV)and AVI. I can't get either to run. I've ensured that I have it set up in the event editor. At one point, I got teh audio to play but no video...

I managed to get an AVI file to work, but the quality is bad. Quicktime and MPG2 files don't display at all.

The avi recommendation (in the documentation) hasn't been too useful. Has anyone had good success with any particular format?

I have gotten most file formats to work fine. Make sure you have the latest codecs installed on your machine.

Check if the files you want to play work in Windows Media Player.

Direct show is just a shell so if Windows Media Player has issues with the file so will Direct Show.

Now if thats not it -- Perhaps upload a copy of your MFA file and a video file so we can take a look at it and what your doing in the MFA.

Thanks for the assistance. I'm getting the hang of it. My best bet is Direct Show objects for my old MPEGs and a few Quicktime specifications...
