Shoulder buttons on gamepads

Is there any way of using these buttons, as well as the normal direction and 4 fire buttons?

if you're going as far as adding gamepad support you'd probably want to look into one of the joystick extensions (such as joystick 2)

however you'd want to have a "profiles" system set up as well since something as simple as which button is "3" is likely not going to be the same across all devices

Probably you just need to use an extension like Joypad Object. If I remember good, it can detect something like 32 buttons on your gamepad.

You can also use Bluetooth and the Wiimote object for a controller.
