64 bit Windows and MMF 2

I wanted to ask how will applications made with MMF 2 be affected when only 64 bit Windows PC systems become the norm. I went shopping for a new laptop and NOTHING was 32 bit anymore. 64 is now the standard for Windows PCs.

    Thanks.

I have to admit that I'm not entirely sure what you mean, but:
MMF2 and applications made with it are 32-bit and work perfectly on a 64-bit OS. Running Windows 7 64-bit here.

Re: 64 bit Windows and MMF 2

That is the answer I was hoping for. Several folks using 32 bit software programs have reported issues with 64 bit Windows systems.

    Thanks for the reply.

Re: 64 bit Windows and MMF 2

I've been creating and using screesavers on my 64 bit Win 7 machine and using them at work on 32 bit XP and have had no problems at all!

Never had a 32bit/64bit application problem ever. And I've been running Windows 7 64bit since the public beta.

As well on this end; 64 bit Vista, 7 RC, and now 7 Home Premium all work fine in 64 bit.

Re: 64 bit Windows and MMF 2

I haven't had any problems running a 32-bit app on Windows x64 since I was running XP x64 (which wasn't exactly well supported or even known about by most companies). And MMF wasn't one of the problems.

Re: 64 bit Windows and MMF 2

Everything runs fine here at Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. And programs which run in 32 mode like MMF ones dislay in Task Manager just after a process name - (space)*32 - so you can even see what sort of apps are 32 bit.
