    building a stand-alone exe

I have several external files being referenced by the game, so I check the box that says "include external files" in the properties of the application, and then I build the application as a stand-alone exe, but many of the files are missing in the exe.

I did build the application inside the parent directory of all my source files, but that didn't help.

How do I build a stand-alone exe that includes all the external files? (preferably without having to place inside a parent directory of the source files).

Did you add them to the data elements? Or check to make sure they are in the data elements?

Okay, well then how did you put the BinFileTempName in front of the file location using the New Picture command for your active picture. Maybe if I knew how you were able to do that, I can apply that to my directShow object.
