Re: Can an MMF2 application be hidden from the Taskbar

Hmmm... That's interesting. In Andos' MMF2 file showing his example, he mentions that he developed this idea before the "Taskbar object" or the "Subapp Taskbar object" were developed.

I don't see either of these objects in either MMF2's default objects or in Fusion Updater's extensions. Has anyone heard of these?

    Thanks!

You could try the Power System object

Re: Can an MMF2 application be hidden from the Taskbar

    Hey, folks!

Andos' example was excellent to follow. (Thanks, Andos!) I was able to successfully implement it following his example. I might even consider creating a new project which will house a third-party (non-MMF2) application so as to hide its Task bar presence as well.

Thanks for posting Andos' example, Burfelt!

    Most appreciatively,

Nope, not possible. Only MMF2-made apps are usable in Sub Applications.
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3

Re: Can an MMF2 application be hidden from the Taskbar

Actually, I also wrote too soon regarding my success with hiding my application's Taskbar button...

While I DID do that, it caused a new problem whereby the run-time application wouldn't shut down. It would APPEAR as if it had shut down, in that once I clicked the "Exit" button, the run-time display would disappear. But it was always still running in the background (perhaps because the Sub-application frame is never properly closed). Furthermore, it seemed that the application would re-start itself, as it seemed I would find multiple instances of the run-time application in Windows Task Manager.

So, I haven't come to a proper resolution to this design. Perhaps Andos' design won't work if you have multiple frames of content (as his example only shows one frame which is run through the sub-application).

You need to make sure that you close the original application when you close the sub-app, I think
