    Sorry, your project is gone.

Hopefully you can pick up from one of the backups that I know to enabled MMF2 to make when you save. Just change the .000 or .001 or .002 ect extension to be .mfa

    Re: Frustrating save document error

I found this thread because I had the same problem. I was very irritated!!

Anyway, I know it's probably too late to help you, but I found a fix for this.

Just rename your application name in the Workspace toolbar:

For my project, it was named Fangame Beta, so I just made it Fangame BetaB and it let me save just fine. It also let me run it and all that, of course.

What a relief, too! I had already had to redo things twice. First time was because I had begun working on a version that was older than the most current, and by the time I realized it, either way I'd have to start something over. Then I started building a new level, and MMF2 just crashed... so I had to start rebuilding that level because I had not saved. When I started again, I began saving frequently, and then all of the sudden it wouldn't save any more, which brought me to this topic.

Hmmm odd, I have a habbit of saving a million times a second and I never get this.

Well, whatever you can do to make it work

I've had this once, too... but I'm not sure what caused it, and I was able to save once I'd closed and reopened MMF. Thanks for the idea for the workaround, I'll see if that works if it ever comes up again.

yeah, we go over this again and again and again. I don't know why people save their whole idea to 1 single save and keep over writing that 1 file... [laugh]

I don't see how you'd ever make it past a week trying to make a game like that...

Because there is such a thing as backups. But wait, there's more! They are done automatically if you have it set in the properties.
