Question about Advanced Game Board Object

I have the demo version, trying to learn and save up money for the full version right now. It's very shiney and I love all the new features, especally the new look for the sprite editor. But that's not what this is about, obveously.

The Advanced Game Board Object doesn't work in the demo(it's a bonus pack extension), so I can't test this myself.

I'd like to know if it works in an exported flash file, and if so, to what extent?

Reason I ask is I'd like to make a poyo-pop type game using MMF2.0 and the flash output, so I can earn a bit of money using the ad services of mochimedia.

You might remember me from about over a year ago, when I was trying to make the engine in MMF1.5 and blew up the extension cause it was old. :P

Naturally, this type of game is very hard to make without the features of the Advanced Game Board Object(especally the find connecting bricks function), so I'd like to know right away if I should just forget making a flash version of the game and work on something else instead.

I have lots of other ideas, so it's ok if the extension won't convert into flash well.

I guess another good question is, is there a list of what capabilities(and limits, such as limit on objects) the flash exporter has? I'd assume not everything converts properly(I'd expect user made extensions might throw it for a loop), but the CT website seems to suggest otherwise with it's optimistic marketing about how "games you make can be in flash too!".

Thanks in advance, and sorry for the long post.

    Re: flash
Not all objects and extensions are compatable yet. CT and extension builders are hard at work getting more and more compatable.

    RE: demo
The demo is not capable of using extensions not built in.

Re: Question about Advanced Game Board Object

Advanced Game Board Object has been ported to Flash and works just the same as it does in the default runtime - (actually I recall there was a bug in an EasyGrid feature, I will fix that)

Re: Question about Advanced Game Board Object

Ok, cool. Also good to know it's constantly being fixed and updated too.

I think it might be helpful, since not all extensions are working yet, if there was a list of the ones that did work. That way we don't waste time working on solutions that use incompatible objects. I know it drove me nuts with Vitalize and all the hundreds of extensions in MMF1.5 to keep finding out that the extensions my game engine was based on didn't work in Vitalize.

Of course, such a list would only be useful if it was regularly updated, so I guess the reasonablness of this idea would depend on how many extensions there are, how often people convert them to work in flash, ect.

Off to play with the demo some more till I can buy the full thing.

That tutorial was hilalrious and fun, by the way. My version ended up with a "press spacebar to spawn another ball" and with the player's movement all over the screen instead of only at the bottom. Hillarious, but not quite what I would call a good game.

Re: Question about Advanced Game Board Object

Once you get the flash exporter, in MMF you just set the build to flash, bring the frame up and select new object. The list of compatible objects will let you know so you don't waste time.

Re: Question about Advanced Game Board Object

Sweet! I've been really wanting something like that for...well, since Vitalize in the old Games Factory days.

This version just keeps getting better the more I poke and ask about it. Awsome.

Now where is my payment so I can buy the thing already? :p
