    Newbie question about Animation. platforming.

First off id like to say thank you to the makers of Multimedia Fusion 2 , The quality and ease of the user interface is astounding. I have a couple questions , if anyone could point me to a tutorial that would be great.

#1 I have my Death animation made for my character. I just cant figure out how you make it trigger when you die.

#2 I have several holes in my first level. When I jump in them it should kill me but my character model dissapears but i can still move around in limbo.

#3 If you still have time. I cant seem how to add a sound effect to my jump. Thanks for your time , and again Thank you for making this outstanding product.

    1) Use the "Destroy" action and the "Disappearing" animation

    2) Add the event -

    * Player leaves the play area on bottom
    - Destroy

    3) Add the event -

    * ["Player object"] Upon pressing Fire 1
    - Play sample

Re: Newbie question about Animation. platforming.

#1) For this you want to make it so when an event occurs (such as a helath bar equaling zero or getting hit by and object) where you die, you want to right click under your character in the events editor. then switch animation and then select the animation for dying.

#2) (this also goes with #1) then after the player has died, go under it in the events editor and right click and select destroy. then go under the create object one (its a white cube with a star kind of thing) and do create obect select the player and then choose the position you want it in.

#3) Im not great at doing sounds (i just dont do them often enough to remember all the steps).

I hope this helps. If it doesn't me or somone else can explain it better.

i just realized somone else answereed already so sorry for the double answer.

Re: Newbie question about Animation. platforming.

Thank you for the fast replys. So far I have gotten the Jump sound to work. Shift is my jump button , every time I hit shift it makes the jumping sound even if the character is in mid jump and I hit shift. Im still wraping my head around the first two.

I went to the event where my character and the spike colide and under my character I went to animation > change > animation sequence > then selected the dying animation. But It diddnt do anything in game sadly.

Im in the process of geting my falling off the screen death to work. thanks again those were good awnsers but im just to new to this to actually put your awnsers to work.

You need to add conditions to check if thay are actually on the ground

No, don't directly play the animation. Put your death animation in the one labeled "Dissapearing" and then when you want it to play, use the event "Destroy".
Working as fast as I can on Fusion 3
