    Resources and Open Source

    1. Are all the graphics, sounds, music, etc... that came on the MMF2 discs considered open source and can be freely used in games?

    2. How many of the Additional Graphics Libraries and
Additional Sound Libraries listed on page:

    http://www.clickteam.com/website/usa/resources

are considered open source and can be freely used in games?

All graphics, sounds, ect. that come with MMF2, and the ones that can be downloaded are able to be used freely.

    Re: Resources and Open Source

I'm happy to be corrected, but I would think that they are "royalty free", rather than "open-source", and they are "free" in the sense that you do not have to pay for them.

This means that they there is no ongoing charge to access them or for use within your own applications, commercial or otherwise.

I would assume that copyright still exists on the resources, but the authors are providing a license for you to use them in your applications..

The difference is that the owners of the "intellectual property" still reserve copyright and may have placed some restrictions on their use; e.g. they may not allow you to repackaged and sell/supply the resources as a library, and their use may be limited to applications created with Clickteam products.

Again, I am happy to be corrected if I am wrong.
