Bug with mouse movement?

I made a character to be controlled with mouse movement, and when you double click with the mouse he is supposed to shoot a ball at a goal.

The problem is that no ball shoots when I double click.
The only solution I can find is to use the spacebar to shoot.

Is this supposed to happen? (does mouse movement not allow mouse clicks to launch objects?)
If not, then what am I doing wrong?

This is not a bug, this is a feature.
With mouse movement you have to check the joystick state (firebutton pressed?) instead of "user clicks" for firing.
This works for single clicks.
As far as i know you have to program the "double click" by yourself.

Instead of mouse movement just always set its position to XMouse and YMouse. Mouse movement really should be re-made because it works best for a diffferent purpose that it currently doesn't allow.
