Well my game needs sound. Does anyone know of a solution? :/ I even lowered the bitrate and got the same slow down.

I have lag before I even use any sounds

It only does it when my character jumps, the frame rate drops. Or if I'm falling and doing an aerial on enemies.

    It's probably the scrolling then.

Ya, I had a problem with the scrolling too.
But it was because I was using a large backdrop. I just had to use small tiles and it all worked fine.

The x-scrolling is fine. But the y-scrolling is bad.

Edit: I don't think it's the scrolling. When I take the sound off all the lag goes away.

What if you leave the sound but take off the scrolling? Maybe a combonation of both is what causes it?

    Re: Loops with SWF

Just tried it and the jump still was slow. My sounds are in .OGG so perhaps the problem is when they get converted to MP3? What sound type does everyone else use?

    Re: Loops with SWF

Since all the sound file formats are just converted to MP3 when it is built, I don't think the original file format will make a difference.

I don't know... I could send you the two versions in a message if you'd like to see exactly what I'm talking about.
