    Putting cutscenes in game applications

Hey guys. I'm trying to have my game play videos at certain points. I looked into the AVI and DirectShow objects to play AVI files but it wants me to locate the AVI file and won't embed them in the application.

basically, I want to be able to play some sort of video/audio file within MMF2 without allowing people to just watch the videos on their own as they'd have to be located on the harddrive and not within the application.

Somewhat off topic, but is it possible to have the INI file do this as well.

I think you're looking for this:

And, yes if you want to you can take the time to program a dialog system and you may or may not use the INI object for it, it depends.

Thank you! I saw "binary files" in the Data Elements, played around with it and didn't see any results. The tutorial you posted helped. Probably won't mess with the INI for now since it's used throughout the application.

Had an issue with mapping the drive but I found an open source program that let me do it so it's all good.
