    Disappearing tab (Unicode TGF2)

In the Properties window, one of the tab disappears if the object is selected through anything else other than clicking on the object itself.

    Example:

    1. Click on the object itself and the Properties window automatically shows all the appropriate tabs.
    2. Now click on the same object in the Workspace Toolbar (the place where all the frames and their objects are listed) and the same Properties Window will not show all of the tabs for the same object!

The part of the Windows toolbar that fails to pop up is the Size tab. Changing the Properties Window's mode to non-tabbed doesn't help either.

This happens in TGF2 Unicode, haven't tested with the normal TGF2.

It happens with all versions of TGF2 and MMF2. It dissapears because you are not allowed to modify the position and size of any object through that method. The reason being is that you wouldn't want all the obejcts to end up in the same position. You wouldn't want to do that anyway.

Er, that's exactly what I'd like to do in certain cases :^) For example: change size of all the instances of a certain object; as is, I have to select each one of them manually which can be a hassle. Anyway, my point was that surely the tab should be either ghosted or apply the new settings to all instances, not just vanish?

Also in order to avoid confusion with accidental movement of multiple instances I'd expect that once you click on a multiple-instanced object through Worspace Toolbar all the instances within the current frame get selected (just as if you had a group of objects in Illustrator)... lack of this behaviour is another thing I thought is a bug :-D

No you don't. You can just select one of them and it affects all of them.

Actually you're right about this part - my mistake. I had some identical objects with almost identical names (one of them had some spaces attached at the end of its name, no idea how it got there), and they were in different folders (otherwise I would have spotted them in the Workspace Toolbar) so this made me think I have to select instances separately.

Regardless, I find it hard to think of vanishing tabs as anything else than a bug, I'm probably too used to the way Adobe's interface works on a visual level.
