Open default E-mail?

I would like to know how or if possible to open the default e-mail application on your PC and have the topic and email address pre-loaded.

What I'm aiming at is to click on string then open default e-mail, have topic name inserted with the relevant e-mail, then maybe some text in the text field too.

Is this at all possible?

You might be able to do it by using the "Open URL" action of the Vitalize object, using the normal mailto: link -

mailto:nobody@biscuits.com?subject=Email&body=Wher e's%20my%20hat

The default mail program registry key can be found here: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\Mail

Use MMF2's special object to run an exe file from that location.

Thanks DavidN that is just what I wanted.

In my registry My key reads HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Clients\StartMenuIntern et and not mail.? Would this be different on other computers too or maybe other OS?

What special object? Am I missing a plug in or something?

The special object is the first object in the event editor, the "two computers".

And that registry key is useless. My "Mail" key is set to "Microsoft Outlook", not an executable.
