    Cover orange type

In the game "Cover orange" your gonna protect oranges from being hit by spiky rain that appears in the end of the level. To protect them you put out barrels, wheels etc.
I am trying to do a similar game, except I can't get gravity working. My barrels just go straight through each other and wheels can't spin.

Not sure if this makes it easier, but have you tried Box2D?

Unfortunately there is no simpler way as the game will require a proper physics engine if you want it to work like the original. If I recall correctly Cover Orange uses the flash port of Box2D.
