    stretching in mochi

I've got my game through Mochi. In the mochi game service my game is completely stretched. It all works fine when the game is embedded in HTML.

I am using Flash FX's "exact fit".

Perhaps switching off the FlashFX would solve the problem. But then I assume I would have a bunch of objects outside the screen if the browser is scaled?

Is there some way around this?

    Easy fix.

    Remove Flash FX

add your own black border around the edges of your frame.

    Reupload to mochi.

    Mochi's preloader includes stretching built-in.

    And then everythings happy!

Okay thanks. But what do you mean by "add your own black border around the edges of your frame."?

So outside the frame I place some black backdrops on a top layer? But what if the game is scrolling, won't the player be able to look ahead of the scrolling if he should scale the browser?

That's why you uncheck follow the frame and put the black border around the visible area

okay. but the backdrop would have to be pretty big? I am already struggling with system slowdowns.

    Re: stretching in mochi

Go to the layers properties and set the scrolling coefficents to 0

    problem solved.

Quick backdrops use far less resources than reg backdrops and actives.
Just test around, figure it out.

    Re: stretching in mochi

Ok. So now I've done all that. Machi no longer stretches it and breaks the ratio. But it still does a full screen (keeping the ratio), which slows the game down a lot.

Everything works fine once it's embedded, why won't the mochi site scale it down to its original size 520x340 as its default setting? Is there some option I have to tick in my mochi profile. I've mailed them two days ago, getting no response from them.

Look, this is a game by Ricky Garces and his flash game from MMF

Why is his game window completely different from mine? He has a proper embedding.

Have you checked the width/height you entered when adding the game to Mochi?

    Re: stretching in mochi

In the "game profile" under "Game Dimensions" I've entered "520x340". I assume mochi recognizes this as the automatic embed code generated at the bottom of the game profile, has 520x340 saved into it. And this code works great, embedding works as expected. But playing it directly from Mochi don't.

Is there another place in my profile I have to fill in the Game dimensions?
