    Save Global Value

While trying to save my global value to my ini file I used
    Retrieve data from an object
    Special
    Retrieve a global value
    "Group"
    "Item"
    "1_Seconds" <-- the global value
    Then it looks like this:
    1_Second
    But I can't click ok.
An error says "Please enter a numeric expression.
I've tried doing "1_Seconds" and other but it won't work.

    Re: Save Global Value

The problem was that it started with a number.

    Re: Save Global Value

    On ini:

When i start new game a counter appears that show the seconds played.

    Every 1 second - add 1 (seconds)

    When pressing Save:

Save value(group-item) - (game)(seconds)(seconds the global value(Retrieve from an global value (seconds)

And when I return to "file select" it is a counter which shows time played on seconds it shows what the global value was until i shut it down, that works. And if I click continue on that file, The counter is reset to 0.
It is set to (Retrieve from (game)(seconds)(seconds(Retrieve from an global value (seconds)

    Re: Save Global Value

It takes 3... group, item, and the value.

PimeX how did you save a global value with the name seconds? seconds is a reserved name due to the ingame timer.

Also, instead of the pseudo code etc, could you just copy/paste the expression?

    Re: Save Global Value

    It's not a counter, it's a global value :/

    Re: Save Global Value

Still, either way, the expression from the INI object to get a value only takes two parameters, which makes me think you're doing it wrong.
