An Introduction to Multimedia Fusion 2 Book Query

    Hi all.

Recently purchased MMF2 Developer (and very nice it is too) and am currently collecting tutorials and buying the few books available on the software. Searching for MMF2 books on Google, I came across this link on the clickteam homepage:

    http://www.clickteam.com/eng/img/book/intro_book_demo.pdf

This gives the first 30-some pages of "An Introduction to Multimedia Fusion 2" - what looks to me like a very nice introduction to MMF2 - but I can't seem to find a link to buy the full book, either in hard-copy or ebook format.

Is this book still available? I notice the date on the PDF is 2007, so I'm not sure whether the book is outdated or incomplete or what, but if anyone could direct me to a link where it is available for purchase, or could let me know if it is no longer in print I'd be grateful.

I suppose Jason Darby made that book. You can find all his books on Amazon.

Actually, it appears to be by Karen Hult and Terry Byfield, and isn't stocked by Amazon. Already purchased copies of Jason Darby's books - "Going to War" is interesting - but I like an extensive library to refer to.

That book is included with site licenses we sell to schools.
We don't sell that book separately.

    Sorry,
    Jeff

I purchased developer and it just arrived this week. It came with 2 discs but no manual at all. Did I miss a .pdf that I should be printing out? Out of curiosity, why not sell this book to the rest of us?

    first post, so go easy

The manual is on CD#1 in a PDF

I wouldn't print it out unless you wanted to -- most people never look at it they just learn the program by using it and then checking out some tutorials.

We have a bunch of tutorials here:

    http://www.clickteam.com/website/usa/tutorials/

The other book ... Intro to MMF2 I will check and see if we can start selling it by itself.

Re: An Introduction to Multimedia Fusion 2 Book Query

Thanks Jeff, I did find the pdf on the disc. I've been reading through and doing tutorials, but I also enjoy reading a technical explanation of all features on an item. Often doing a tutorial will lead me to wonder about other things those objects could do.

I'm trying to figure out how to load data into the array object. Currently, I am using an array app from The Power Users guide to windows development to individually add items and save them, but was hoping there would be an easier way.

Forums are great, however, being so new, my searches are hitting lots of results and it has been difficult to parse these for the info i am looking for.

The good thing is that i have patience, and ask that you spare some for me while i get up to speed.

    thanks everyone,
    rubes
