    Snow Effect Layering

I've created a snow effect that works almost perfectly. I create the snow on a seperate layer which has an x and y coefficient of 0. I thought this would mean that the snow would be visible anywhere in the level without using complicated expressions to calculate the relation of the snow to the player as the time delay makes the effect look strange. But for some reason the snow is only visible in the area where the snow is being created even though it is definitely being created in the 'non scrolling' layer. Am I missing something obvious here? Can anyone help?

    Thanks!

In the Runtime options of the snow, try uncheck "Follow the frame".

I tried it but it made no difference. I also made sure that "inactivate if too far from frame" and other runtime options were correct so I can't see what the problem is.

Ok, try set the X and Y coefficient to 1 and THEN try uncheck "Follow the frame".

It could also be something that you just make the snow on 0-600 from X, or whatever your event says. When I do events like this, I usually set a rectangle object above the frame, and set it to not follow the frame. And I create the stuff raining down from this object, instead of on the layer.. If you get the picture.

I mangaged to fix it, I just placed an object into the 'non-scrolling' layer and then made the snow move in relation to the object. Thanks for your help though.
