    Wall Climbing

    Im pretty sure i've seen some examples for this somewhere but i cant seem to find them :confused: i have it working to an extent. im using a seperate active other than my main character to when you jump on a wall the main active becomes invisible and the new active with the climbing properties becomes visible. when i press up on, he climbs and when i stop holding up he stops moving up. sounds good but the climb animation keeps playing and he doesnt stick so to speak when you first come in contact with the wall. the active just appears and falls to the ground as if you are just hitting jump, but you press up and he climbs! lol. anyone have any suggestions?

    To fix the animation problem, have these events:

    Is Object stopped (negated) ==> Start Animation
    Is Object stopped ==> Stop Animation

    As for the actualy wall climbing, could you be a little more specific as to what movement your character is using? Is he using the Advanced Platform movement or a regular one? Is this wall set as a ladder or is it an actual wall?

    Sorry my bad :whistle: yeah i am using the PMO and the wall itself is set as an active object. i just trigger the event change when the player makes contact with the wall. i just want the player to be able to move up and down, and he is using a gun so i want to be able to press up+left up+right, down+left down+right to aim while on the wall. basically i want to do the EXACT same thing that you see in contra 3 on the snes.
