    Drillable Block

Hi all, I'm trying to recreate an old game that I used to play in which the player could drill blocks that would disappear allowing the player to pass through, The blocks reappear after say 30 seconds and if the player is in the way would take some energy. Can this be implamented in MMF2 and is there any samples I could look at. Thanks

    Yea, lots of ways!

Depending on how ellegant you want it, you have one very simple way:

    Player drills Block
    - Make Block Invisible
    - Set Alterable Value A to 1500

    Alterable Value A of Block > 0
    - Substract 1 from Alterable Value A

    Alterable Value A = 0
    - Make Block Reappear.

This will make a timer equal to 30 sec. The block will disappear and reappear when the timer is out.

Yeah FlinkGigitty's example is probably the easiest way.

If you set it to 1501, and test for it = 1, then the event won't happen at the start of frame, either.

    Jacob:
What would that achieve? They will not become invisible unless they are drilled. Otherwise they will be visible all the time. The only problem I see with the above code is that when the value reaches 0 it will constantly make the objects 'reappear', which could force them to be redrawn all the time. :-)

    Re: Drillable Block

Seem to be struggling with this. I have setup a key to act as a drilling action and it makes the block invisable and set the code above but the block stays invisable. Think I'm just thick lol (just trying to get my head round it, Be gentle with me, lol)

Should just be able to throw in a only one action when event loops to fix that. Unless I'm missing something.
