    Fading a button.

I am wondering how I could make a button with a bitmap image fade in when I want it to. I have tried putting an active over it but the button is always on top.

    Thanks.

The Button objects are handled by Windows, which doesn't have a way of making them semitransparent - for buttons that fade in and out, you'll need to use an active of your own making, and manipulate the semitransparency (under Visibility in the actions menu).

That's not true, DavidN. You can actually set the semi-transparency of a window handle. However, it's not really possible in MMF, unless you use the DLL object to call the specific Windows function...

    Window Transparency Object:
    A. Doesn't work for some people, and
    B. Only fades your own main window, whereas Kernel Object lets you choose a window handle to manipulate.

Well Kernel is dev-only, and you could always use a subapp.
