    I think that is true, but I also thought MMF skipped objects that are marked as "to destroy"...

    nope, afaik all events will apply normally to them until the end of the cycle, at which point they will be *really* destroyed, before the draw cycle is executed. So in complex projects this can often lead to phantom objects if you aren't careful
