    Help with Falling platforms

I can't seem to figure out a good way to do this. Right now, I have the actual falling part when you step on the platform, simple enough. But I'm trying to get it so these platforms don't float around if they aren't connected to anything. It's a bit difficult for me to explain, so hopefully this visual makes sense.

The green is just a backdrop, the red are the platforms obviously. In this situation, when you step on the leftmost platform, they all should fall down since it's really not connected to anything anymore.

The platforms have support on the right side now, stepping on the leftmost one will only effect that single platform in this case.

Hopefully thats understandable. That's pretty much the effect I'm trying to get. Anyone have any suggestions?

im a little confused....are you wanting individual pieces to fall when you cross or the whole thing to fall when you cross? if individual pieces i made an example file on the forum that may help you......

I've seen your example, that's not exactly what I need.

Pretty much, if the platform lacks support, it should fall down. That's really all I need.

i see, well maybe you could take that example and disable the sensors that make the platforms fall when the active object collides with them and add sensors to the bottom of the platforms that you are wanting to have support, basically flip the code to just make the certain platforms that you want to fall. hope that helps

I'm sorry, I'm not really following. What would placing sensors at the bottom accomplish?

    Re: Help with Falling platforms

Basically, and keep in mind im just THINKING this may work, is that you set an active object at the sections of the bridge you want to fall that doesnt have support and make an event where the character collides with the active object(bridge sensor, fall sensor, whatever you name it) triggers that section only to fall. just make sure to check the "Make invisible at start" option otherwise you see a nice block slapped in the middle of your game
