    Cross-fade between frames

Is it possible to have a cross-fade effect between two frames? I haven't found that in the standard transitions.

Not to my knowledge, but you can create your own transitions. Just have a large black box that fades either in or out.

    Re: Cross-fade between frames

You can't cross fade. But if you wanted the cheat the effect you could have a snapshot of the next frame fade in within the current frame. Then switch to the next frame.

    Re: Cross-fade between frames

I'm not entirely sure what cross-fading is, but I'm assuming it's where a frame fades in over the previous frame. If I'm right in my assumption, cross-fading is pretty easy. Just apply the "Fade" transition as your Fade In for the destination frame, and have no Fade Out transition on the initial frame.

    Re: Cross-fade between frames

I have another question about transitions: once I set a transition as fade-in, as you suggested, is there a way to control it in the events editor? Can I disable the transition if certain events occur?

    Re: Cross-fade between frames

    A pretty clear answer
So, I suppose I'd have to code a custom fade effect using a screencapture of the previous frame fading out and revealing the new frame underneath

    Re: Cross-fade between frames

Well the positive thing about using the screen capture rather than a frame transition is everything can keep moving in the current frame rather than pause during the effect.
