I'll provide a little more detail...
The Event Editor usually shows tooltips when you mouse over the object icons along the very top of the window. Everything works fine when MMF2 is running on my laptop monitor, but when I move the program to my dual monitor the tooltips no longer appear... which makes it very difficult to work with the editor.
The tooltips for objects in the actual events are visible-- but they are clear over on the right edge of the laptop monitor.
I went into Tools/Preferences and I'm now displaying names with the icons, but this doesn't help me identify the icons at the top of the Event Editor. A lot of my Active Objects look the same, so it's difficult for me to know which column I should use for my events.
Any suggestions?

I prefer the Event List Editor.![]()
Do most Fusion "experts" use the Event List Editor??? I learned using the Event Editor and never even thought about switching. (But I can see now how it might be easier to read the "code".)
Once you get used to the Event List Editor, I find it really hard to use the Event Editor anymore. The only major drawback in the EVL is that comments get messed up formatting. So when you go to add comments, you need to toggle back to the Event Editor. Also, copy/pasting of groups doesn't seem to be possible in the EVL.
As for your display problem, it might be your graphics card. I've had similar issues on some PC's and all I could determine was that the graphics card was the only major difference. The new Photoshop CS5 also give me issues with this, even though PS CS3 worked just fine.![]()

I... think I remember having this problem, and having to make the larger monitor my primary monitor in Windows to solve it. However, since moving computers, I run MMF on the monitor that isn't the primary one and have had no problems.
For what it's worth, I still use the Event Editor...
Okay, I figured out a workaround (of sorts) for my dual monitor problem...
To recap, I can get tooltips to appear on my primary monitor instead of my secondary monitor -- except for the object icons at the top of the Event Editor, which don't appear at all. Turns out the reason is that my second monitor is running at a higher resolution and the tooltips are essentially too high to be visible. To fix the problem I now run the Event Editor in Window mode and I move the top of the window down a little bit. (Alternately, I suspect I could go into XP Display Properties/Settings and line up the top edge of the monitor icons.)
I posted this to help anyone else who may have a similar problem in the future.

It's an odd issue... but thanks for posting your solution![]()

I prefer the event editor too, but I use the list for comparing sets of code to make sure all the actions are in teh right place.
