What Happenned to the "shoot object" option!!!???

Instead of the "shoot object" option, now there is launch object. But if I select "launch object: and then "at 0,0 from (the player)", then not just will it shoot it, it will follow them too. This is cool, but sometimes I need for an object to be shot AT the player, but not to follow them. Help Please? THANKS!

    What version are you using?
Mine has 'shoot object' - as an action (not a condition).

    >> then not just will it shoot it, it will follow them too
I am not sure what you mean by this.

Checking the help file there is no mention of 'launch object'
    Perhaps I am missing something.

Launch Object replaced Shoot Object in build #249.

IIRC, "Launch object" was just a change in name, and not behaviour.

Sounds like you need to update.

Amazingly Clickteam was somewhat forced to change the action label when MMF became more popular in the United States school system. As schools have become more "politically correct" the phrase "Shoot" was not viable.

Re: What Happenned to the "shoot object" option!!!???

I actually think it's a good change in name because it clears up confusion. I remember when I first used MMF I misunderstood the usage of "shoot," thinking that it meant the object specified would be shot at.

Of course, I realized the actual meaning pretty quickly, but still, better not to have that potential for confusion.

I found something weird. Now it isn't happening. I think I may have also had it set up to "always -> look in direction of player", which would have caused this. Thanks for the help.

And to clear up confusion, it was shooting the bullets at the player, and the bullets followed the player too. but it's fixed now, once again, thanks for the help. (Those of you wondering how to make this happen, just have the bullets Always -> look in direction of (target).
