    Re: Application Icon

From the big image, it extract AND SAVES the smaller version of the icon, and does the same for the loading screen. Therefore it will work on any device.

    Re: Application Icon

Francois - but it should still keep the higher resolution versions too right? Because I mentioned on the other thread that it's not using the higher resolution icons and I don't think it's using the higher resolution splash screen either.

    See this image:
    http://andy.viacityloop.com.au/files/highlowicons.jpg
In green - high resolution, in red - standard resolution.

    Re: Application Icon

I save noth resolution using Apples name encoding ("@2") in the high resolution pictures. SO I do what apple want, and I do not know why it is using the lowres picture. I'll check maybe I have a problem in the names...

    Re: Application Icon

Me is confused, what i am suggesting is the icon is too big it should be 57x57... of course i could make it double the size for mmf to resize it, but that seems strange if you have already read and understood apples rules... or perhaps i am misunderstanding something somewhere

    Re: Application Icon

Jason - iPhone 4 uses 114x114 for its icons, iPhone 3/3gs use 57x57. The idea is that in MMF you are supposed to design it at the higher resolution and then MMF will automatically downscale it for iPhone 3/3gs. What I said was that it is saving the 3gs version but not using the original 114x114 when it should.
