MJK doesn't mean change the rates of the sound files - he means change them in MMF2 application properties, on the first tab. MMF2 converts it to whatever size you choose there, so changing the actual files won't make much difference as MMF2 will boost the quality back to what it was before - the selection in application properties.

Thanks for the help, everyone! I managed to lower it from a 3.2 to a 2.4MB file size without much loss in sound quality, and I think that's a considerable step up.
