Advanced Path Movement slow in SWF

    Hi!

I'm working on SWF game and I'm using "Advanced Path Movement" object. I read somewhere that it doesn't work in SWF- but it actually does! The only problem is that it is really slow. The object just ignores the speed settings in SWF mode and it always runs with the slowest speed. (but it can find the right path just fine).

It works great in the normal mode...

Anybody knows a workaround, or maybe someone knows who is the author of the object?

Re: Advanced Path Movement slow in SWF

I have tested the normal Advanced Path Movement example that comes with MMF2, and it indeed does work with flash. Perhaps it has something to do with the latest update #2. I have also tested speed by changing the speed variable on the first frame in the example (on both exe and swf), and everything is working fine for me, so perhaps it has something to do with the programming of your actual game.

Re: Advanced Path Movement slow in SWF

Demi, thank you! In a meantime I found the problem. The settings in the menu "connect path nodes" is a little misleading. For the object speed it offers only values between 0 and 2 (1 suppose to be a normal speed- in my case 30. 2 suppose to be twice as fast- in my case 60). So I was changing the actual speed of the object in the game and not on the path nodes. So if I'm using "ALLWAYS: set object speed to 30" it works great in the WIN mode. But this line is completely ignored in SWF. In SWF the actual speed is 1. Conclusion: in Flash mode you can only set speed of the object in "connect path nodes" menu.
    Problem solved! Thank you! :-)
