Play and loop sample: clicking at transitionpoint

I have a clean looped sample. No clicking in FL Studio. In MMF standalone it just clicks once, when the sample starts. In Flash it not only clicks, you also hear a "visible" gap between end and startpoint of the sample.

Any ideas for a workaround? Is there anything i can do here besides to play no sound at all?

This has something to do with the mp3 sampling rate. I remember that one sampling rate work fine, but not the number. Flash is rather picky about that.
I suggest you try different values.

Re: Play and loop sample: clicking at transitionpoint

Hmm, I was able to convert it with 144,128 and 112 kbit/s. No difference at the transition point. Still clicking and a pause between the sample end and the sample beginning. I was not able to convert it with 96, 80 and 64 kbit/s, MMF gave me an error message, and refused to convert to flash.

Seems that i need another way for my car sound.

Re: Play and loop sample: clicking at transitionpoint

Okay, i tried it with a sample that contains all samples together now. And set the looppoints manually then. Works like charm in exe. It`s still clicking a bit in Flash though. The silence gaps between the samples is gone. That`s definitely better for my needs

EDIT: Flash has another sample position count it seems. I played a bit with the values, and the transition click is also here gone. Great news

I have a similar problem - how do you "set the looppoints manually"?

Ah, cross posting it seems. I`ve edited my posting from above.

You have of course to set the looppoints manually. Mh, give me a few moments, i will try to upload my example into the file archive. It is not really finished yet. I want it to switch between the different car sounds. But it should show the idea ...
