    iTunes Store Closed for Christmas

Most people will know this already as they will probably have got an email from Apple, but for information

    -----------------

iTunes Connect will be temporarily shut down from Thursday, December 23 to Tuesday, December 28 for the winter holidays. Access will resume on Wednesday, December 29.

During this shutdown, iTunes Connect will be unavailable. In addition, app releases and pricing changes which are scheduled to take place during the shutdown will be handled as follows:

All releases will not appear in the App Store until Wednesday, December 29. This includes apps scheduled to appear on the App Store for the first time as well as updates to existing apps.
Pricing changes will cause the app to become unavailable for purchase until Wednesday, December 29, at which point the app will become available at the new price. Please check to ensure you have not scheduled any price changes during this time.
    Regards,

    The iTunes Store team

I saw that! Oh well! It will give us time to make our apps better. On a related note to Francois/Yves/Jeff - are we allowed to try and distribute our apps on the Appstore with the iPhone Beta? Or would you prefer until we have the final version?

I think it might be better for CT to submit a small number of games first, make sure they are approved, rather than everyone submit a game and they all fail for the same reason.

Also its probably better for the final version, because of obvious licensing issues.

But i am sure Francois/Yves/Jeff will post if there is a different plan

I agree for the same reasons :P but that final stage seems close!

Submission and approval of games will only take about 5 days so that wont delay things, and there will be some cleaning up/odd bug fixes/getting ready for launch etc etc.

But yes according to feedback everyone seems very happy with performance etc, so its looking very good. The final piece of the pie is seeing if they are approved

There is still a big bug to correct : the runtime does not work on 2nd gen devices. As soon as this is cleared up, I see no reason why you could not try your application with Apple. Knowing there are chances that it will be rejected for technical reasons. But the more test we have, the better for the runtime.

I should be ready in a week or so.

So hopefully as soon as you get that bug figured out I will have a test case ready to roll.
