Changing the Platform Movement Jump Button?

Apparently Button 1 is the Shift key, so my character jumps when pressing it. Now, I tried creating an event (Upon Pressing the F Key), and then change the character animation sequence to Jumping, but it doesn't execute the jump sequence. It only executes the jumping frame of my character. Is there a way to change the Button 1 to the F Key? And if not, how do I do this other than coding platform movement from scratch?
