    Ads in programs, not games.

I took a look at the mochi site and it appears that it can only be used in games. While I think that is great for games what about apps. I have an app that works with video and I could make come $ if I could put ads in front of each. Does anyone know of a company that works with any type of app and not just games?

    Thanks,
    K

Thought about sponsorship? If your App finds its way onto enough machines perhaps you could approch companies about placing ads?

Good to see someone else making apps..... I'd like to take a look sometime.

I am not sure if I can go the sponsorship route if I understand it correctly, I am looking for a way that is not so public, like mochi. Just sign up and get paid for the ads. Not worried about content rules, the app focuses on the entertainment and music industry, not the adult content side of things but the legitimate stuff, and I only need it to be available within a social network setting right now. I have to admit I don't know much about the sponsorship route but I can't shop this one.

I have been developing in MMF for over 17 years and mostly apps. (2 dumb games that were never release but for friends or family)
We just recently got a patent approved for a program written in MMF. Part of the technology is used here...
    http://www.iwarecd.com
This site even uses a vitalize application that allows our customers to re-author their media's application interface in real time. Works like a champ and since they are paying customer I don't get any static about the new plug-in they have to install as it's just part of the system.

Additionally we have a social network (http://www.newmusiczone.com) that part of the site is hosted by an MMF web server using Lacewing and storing data in a SQLite3 database. It servers web pages and tracks all the traffic to the site as well as several other things. We have not even gone live yet and I don't thing we are going to keep the membership under 100 before we do. Several of my companies are involved with this, one of which is a company called Jump-Point, the CEO is a man named Chris Lighty. If you have some free time, Google him. The idea with this company is to develop a DVR platform I have designed then let developers make games and apps that run on the DVR. Oh yea, you have to use MMF to do that. hehe

MMF has come a long way in 17 years and I am very excited about the flash side of things. When it is running well enough for developing applications it will open many doors for my companies. I was a coder way back when, lets just say I went from Key Punch to Basic and my first hard drive was a cassette tape, and I am proud to say I use MMF for development. It's fast to work in and it's a very powerful development environment.

    Thanks,
    K
