    PNG Import Issue

Hi, I've recently come into trouble with importing PNG files. This has only happened recently, and I have no idea why.

The problem is that MMF2 previews PNG files with a white background, so when imported and resized I'm left with a halo around the image. Usually MMF2 previews PNG files with black background.

I have been doing some work on illustrator, and exporting as a PNG with the background set as transparent. I have been doing said work in RGB format. And MMF2 still reads the transparency as white for some strange reason.

The Image on the left shows how a PNG is meant to be imported... with a black background. However the image on the right shows my current problem.

Any help on this matter would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

Could you zip and post an example image in the File Archive forum?

Imported perfectly for me? No Halo, although it looks like your outline colour in illustrator is set to a dark grey (not completely black). Your PNG has no anti-aliasing around the borders however.

You don't need to change anything to do with transparency when you import to MMF, just keep pressing the ok button until you see the image inside the editor with the alpha transparent background

    Re: PNG Import Issue

All fixed. It was the non existent anti-aliasing when i exported it from illustrator which created the white border.

Thank you RhysD and Yves for the help.
