    Scoreboards

    Hi All

My game is being created as a high score challenge. Therefore I really want people to be able to compete for high scores.

I really wanted to get it on facebook and that way the scores could be posted on each others walls etc but to my understanding im better off holding on for the facebook extension.

I believe mochi ads supports high scores?

On the chance I stick it on flashgamelicense for a sponsor deal (probably wont be good enough) and got a sponsor, then i feel unless the API is available then ill run into problems.

Is the only other way the PHP/SQL route? I'd rather not.

Worst comes to the worst it could just be local scores using ini but I'll see.

    Re: Scoreboards

you can use the scoreboards element of mochi without it being distributed/having any ads in

that is the easiest/fastest way to do it by far

    Re: Scoreboards

The Mochi API does have bugs, but people in my _ have used the scores successfully.
Bear in mind, if you turn Mochi Ads on, MMF2 won't automatically display an ad. You have to select certain settings on a frame's properties or the application properties to get an ad to display.
You can get Mochi Developer account with Ads/Scores/etc from http://www.mochimedia.com/dev/ which will supply you with a code when you make a game. That code should be inserted into the MMF2 application property. There's more instructions on the forum, but basically, enabling Mochi Ads for your game doesn't mean you have to use Mochi Ads in your game.

    Re: Scoreboards

I just want to be able to send the score to the browser, once I have that variable I can easily send it to mySQL database.

the problem is.. how in the heck do we get the score to browser.

is there an extension that does that?
