Highlighting text with Character Image

I am trying to highlight words inside a Character Image text.
It works but what I don't understand is why I have to type twice "Enter" instead of once to have the correct word highlighted (despite the Character Image receives the input each time as shown).
Thanks to try typing a matching word in the Edit Box and see by yourself :

text_highlight.mfa

Any idea ?
