is a uniform flex-config.xml possible?

All these (beta) flash extensions coming out is really great. But some of them require to overwrite the flex-config file, which will make another extension unusable.
Since I would rather not have to choose between extensions, is it possible at all to have some sort of uniform flex-config file?

Most of them should be the same. All they do is target version 10 of Flash Player. The only one that may be different is the one that came with FlashHaxx.

I use FlashHaxx to open an url. I read somewhere that the Flash object does this too, but that there was an issue with Firefox's pop-up blocker. I might have missed it but is this still the case?

FlashHaxx has a particularly harmful config modification that causes a few problems with the runtime. I withdrew the extension for that reason.

Too bad. I found it easy to use.
Can anyone point me in the direction of a replacement? (without pop-up blocking).
I'd be more then happy to let go of FlashHaxx, so I wouldn't have to switch flex-config files anymore.
