    Bug: Inconsistent collision detection HWA/Standard

If you run this file in MMF Standard it will behave differently to MMF HWA.

In the HWA version the object can pass through the gap. In the Standard version of MMF, it stops on the gap.

Note the use of Fine Detection in the objects' settings.

I believe this is a known issue.
IIRC, one of the reasons Clickteam gave for not merging the standard and HWA builds, was that the collision detection works differently (and therefore perfect backwards compatibility would be lost).

Okay cool. If it's known then that's fine. I just couldn't find any documentation of the issue anywhere.

Like I said, I *think* it is.
It would be nice if someone from Clickteam could either confirm or deny it though...

Re: Bug: Inconsistent collision detection HWA/Standard

CT have already confirmed this before, so there's no need for another confirmation. This is why there are separate HWA and Standard versions of MMF2, though personally, I think only the HWA behaviour should have been kept even at the cost of perfect backwards compatibility, to avoid the need of so many different builds of MMF2.
