Request: Alterable variables on the iPhone objects

Would it be possible to add alterable values to the iPhone objects such as the "iPhone Multiple Touch" object?

I want to make some behaviours that allow me to just drop these into a frame and make use of them. At present I'm having to put behaviours on an active object as I need to store values so my widget is spread across two objects when one would suffice if the iphone objects had alterable values.

That's probably "to be redone". Francois, you shouldn't type while driving, it's dangerous.

If you mean reinserting the Multiple Touch object and replacing my current conditions/actions that use it, then that wouldn't be a huge problem.

Francois, I *think* applications wouldn't have to be redone.

Re: Request: Alterable variables on the iPhone objects

I wouldn't lose any sleep if alterable values are not added to these objects, however if by doing this it will not affect existing applications then it is a no-brainer (ie: it should be done).

If it will affect users, then at present that is a limited group of beta testers in this forum. If the decision to add them is made it would be best to do it now rather than later when the wider world gets this iphone exporter.

So does anyone have any problem with this change? Personally if there is any pain to go through for existing iPhone applications to get alterable values onto these objects I think I would still say yes to adding them.

Yes, I feel that's what the beta is for, after all I would say it's always worth adding them... someone after the beta is going to find other ways in which they want to use them, as well.

    I agree also.

No one could complain their work needs to be redone .. as this is a beta and no one should be doing mission critical work with it -- Just building things for testing it out.

I was writing this from my new Windows phone and the automatic correction is annoying (it is set to French)...
So ok, i will implement this...
