OGG audio format do not work in IOS Exporter

I mounted on a frame in 1024 * 768, two separate audio channels, OGG format version and does not work and the other in MP3 format and if it works. I'm worried that the MP3 format is not free, you have to pay royalties, however the OGG Vorbis is free and has the same result.

I leave the two projects for review,

AFAIK, the OGG format is not supported by iOS.

In theory OGG files should be decompressed to simple WAV files by MMF2 when you build the iPhone app, but apparently there is a bug since I've added the MP3 filter, I'll take a look.

About MP3, as far as I understand a license is not required if you as freelance developer or as a company has a gross revenue less than $100,000.

I'll ask Technicolor for confirmation and I'll let you know.

Update: the bug is due to the MP3 filter, it will be fixed in beta 17.

And I've sent an e-mail to Technicolor to ask them if you need a license if you include MP3 sound files and if so under which conditions.

Thanks Yves, I will convert my samples in MP3 format, but I hope they can fix the bug of the OGG. I also hope we win more than $ 100,000 with our games,

Good News about the beta 17!!!

This is not a bug, OGG is not a format that is supported on iPhone, that's all.

The bug with the iPhone exporter was that because of a bug in the MP3 filter the OGG file was not converted to WAV at build time.

About MP3 : you should be careful and make sure 2 MP3 sounds can't be played at the same time. Because there is only one hardware MP3 decoder, if you play 2 MP3 sounds at the same time the second one will be played by the software decoder which is much slower.

PS: Technicolor won't answer before Wednesday, I just got an automatic answer.

Yves Thanks for the clarification, I will use only MP3 soundtrack of the game and the handle or other sounds as. wav, well thanks for asking clarification to Technicolor in the case of license fees by the format.

Even though it's nice to dream about getting over $100,000 with an iPhone game, what actually does happen if your game makes over that amount and you're using MP3s?
