How to open old .gam file?

Hey guys,

i found an old project on my hard disk. It seems to be from TGF 1 times. How may i open this nowadays?

I tried:
The Games Factory 2 -> Cannot open protected TGF or C&C Application
The Games Factory 1.07 -> This is not a game file

The error message says it's a protected file, which means you can't open it (only run it using the .exe with it IIRC).

But i can open with Text Editor and read some strings in the chaos?

Can i "hack" the file with notepad by removing some marks?

I do not think Clickteam would support hacking past a security feature that was intended to be secure. It may be illegal in the case of some games' copyrights and other restrictions.
