Weird installer error

Hi,

One of the users of my software mailed me with an error code he got:

Cannot use control \"ControlName\" registered at {D27CDB6E-AE6D-11cf-96B8-444553540000} in this computer registry : Unable to find any programming interface.

The way I understand this user, installing went well, but when he wanted to use the program, this is what he got.

Does anyone have any idea what this is and what can be done about it?

This message is displayed when your application uses the ActiveX object and the version of the ActiveX control it uses is different from the one installed on the user's machine.

Could you maybe tell me what version MMF2 is using (or how to find out) and how another user can obtain that version?
I honestly have no idea.

I think you have to find the file of the ActiveX control, usually a .ocx file. What control do you use in your application?

Got it!

The problem was in the Flash ActiveX control. The user figured it out himself. He hadn't yet installed the flash-player and after doing so the problem was solved.
